Danielle J Shatkin RD CDCES

My education started with Hospitality and Food Management.  After receiving a Bachelors Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, I enrolled in the Dietetics at D'Youville University in Buffalo, NY.  There I received a second Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Dietetics.  Following graduation in 2019, I worked as a Registered Dietitian in community clinics and hospitals in the Rochester, NY area.  Currently, I am working as a Registered Dietitian at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY.

I was been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1995, which has inspired my dedication to the medical and nutrition world. I use my clinical judgement and experiences to educate and help others. My specialty rotation and thesis, "Diabetes Transitional Care from Pediatric to Adult Care" had grown my interest in endocrinology .
I worked as an education coordinator  expanding outreach and services to the Finger Lakes diabetes community with Noyes University of Rochester.  Currently I am working as a RD consultant at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY., and one-on-one insulin pump training.
